Erlenmeyer Flasks

Flasks are familiar and invaluable items in most laboratories, essential for holding liquids and performing mixing, heating, cooling, precipitation, condensation and other processes. The range featured in this section includes Erlenmeyer (also known as conical) flasks, but we also supply Büchner or sidearm flasks (ideal for creating vacuums) and volumetric flasks (clear and amber) used for the accurate measurement of liquid volume.
Erlenmeyer flasks are available in a range of different materials such as Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), Polymethylpentene (PMP), Polypropylene (PP), Polypropylene Copolymer (PPCO), Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), PerFluoroAlkoxy (PFA) or borosilicate glass.
Many factors affect the chemical resistance of labware products and our advice will be to refer to our chemical compatibility chart and run a test under your own conditions to ensure that the product you are using is fully compatible.
Erlenmeyer flasks are available in capacities from 125mL to 5000mL, and are available with wide or narrow plain mouths, screw necks or standard ground sockets depending on your application.
These flasks find widespread use in chemistry applications such as titration, crystallization and filtration (in combination with a filter funnel), as well as in microbiology applications for culture preparation.
For cell culture applications, dedicated Erlenmeyer flasks are also available vented or not vented, with baffled bottoms and screw caps, and are perfect for suspension and aeration of sensitive cell cultures, media preparation, mixing and storage. These can all be provided with validation binders on request.
Heavy-duty Erlenmeyer flasks are specially designed for longer life, and are resistant to heat, chemical attack and mechanical shock.
